Menteri BN akan sokong penuh Muhyiddin sampai PRU
Menteri dan timbalan menteri BN berikrar akan memberi sokongan penuh kepada kepimpinan Perdana Menteri Muhyiddin Yassin.
Mereka berkata demikian pada satu kenyataan bersama yang ditandatangani oleh 20 menteri dan timbalan menteri daripada BN.
Bagaimanapun, mereka berkata bahawa Pilihan Raya Umum (PRU) perlu diadakan secepat mungkin sebaik sahaja keadaan kesihatan awam mengizinkan untuk memperolehi mandat rakyat yang jelas.
"Kami juga telah bersetuju agar kerajaan yang telah dibentuk secara muafakat ketika ini terus didokong termasuklah dengan memberi sokongan penuh kepada kepimpinan Perdana Menteri, Muhyiddin Yassin dalam melaksanakan pelan pemulihan ekonomi dan kesihatan rakyat.
"Untuk memastikan kestabilan kerajaan yang lebih jitu, kami berpendapat pilihan raya umum diadakan secepat mungkin sebaik sahaja keadaan kesihatan awam mengizinkan untuk memperolehi mandat rakyat yang jelas.
"Sehingga itu, kami telah bersepakat untuk mengukuhkan kedudukan BN di dalam kerajaan sedia ada dan pada masa yang sama akan menyusun gerak kerja bagi memastikan BN menjadi suara terkuat di dalam kerajaan," kata mereka.
Kenyataan itu dibuat hanya sehari selepas ahli parlimen BN mengadakan pertemuan dengan Presiden Umno Ahmad Zahid Hamidi yang juga pengerusi gabungan itu.
Setiausaha Agung Umno Ahmad Maslan sebelum ini telah memberitahu pemberita bahawa BN akan menyokong Belanjawan 2021 hanya jika dua permohonan utama BN dipenuhi Menteri Kewangan Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz.
Ahmad Maslan tidak menyebut perincian dua permohonan utama BN itu tetapi berharap Zafrul dapat menyatakan persetujuan kerajaan ketika penggulungan perbahasan peringkat dasar pada Khamis ini.
Bagaimanapun dia dipercayai merujuk kenyataan Pengerusi Kelab Penyokong BN Najib Razak yang berulang kali menegaskan, BN hanya akan menyokong belanjawan sekiranya terdapat lanjutan moratorium pinjaman dan kebenaran individu mengeluarkan sehingga RM10,000 dari Akaun 1 Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP).
Tiada sebarang syarat diletakkan oleh menteri dan timbalannya dalam kenyataan hari ini.
Bagaimanapun, mereka berkata akan mengambil maklum cadangan serta pandangan yang telah dikemukakan oleh ahli-ahli parlimen BN berkenaan RUU Perbekalan (Belanjawan) 2021.
"Cadangan dan pandangan ini akan diambil kira untuk dilaksanakan dari semasa ke semasa," tambahnya lagi.
